-did pell work on the 22nd, slogged through the snow for a half an hour (grumbling mightly!)

-didn't do pell work on the 23rd as my neck and shoulder are really bad again...(thank the Gods for Tylenol 3) Went to SCA meeting and then went home to ice my neck/shoulder

-I am currently at school, and since my body doesn't feel too bad, I will go home and hit the pell! :0)

-Today, for dinner I am bringing home, roast pork loin (enough for 3), gravy, and freshly made baugettes......mmmmmmmm!

Back to the Books!

.....now if only the books weren't so expensive....another $300.00 for this semester :0(

Enough griping...on to the business at hand!

Weight:...oh my but this is depressing....229.5lbs

I did Matt Furey Royal Court today and also 60 torso twistys

I am going to hit the pell as soon as I log off...I will report either later tonight or tommorrow.

Eating way too much and of the wrong stuff....this is NOT the way to achive my goals....

My weight loss goal is to lose 80lbs this year.....

I will do this by:

-doing the Combat Conditioning program at home (everyday), lifting weights at the gym(3x per week) , hitting the pell (everyday) and fighting (whenever I can)
-eating smaller portions at each meal
-avoiding processed carbs and concentrating on good quality lean protien, fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains.
-drinking lots of water
-restricting my coffee intake and replacing it with green tea
-taking my vitamins consistently
-posting to my blog daily with my progress
-posting a current picture and a monthly progress picture thereafter

I will post the picture as soon as we find my digital camera :0)

Wheeee! I am in!

Morning all!!

I tried to get into the site yesterday morning, with no success. but here I am!!!
On Sunday night I did my pell work and I did some stretching.
I had oatmeal for breakfast and tea. I had school from 8-5 yesterday. We were all day in the food lab....we made carmelized onion foccacia, braised beef short ribs, and risotto Milanaise (that is what I brought home for supper) lunch was bad......during the holidays, all of the fridges broke down while there was noone there to report it....they lost $60,000 worth of food, and thus had nothing fresh or remotely vegetable like to offer....I had chicken fingers and fries....(time to start stocking my locker with more acceptable stuff ) during the day I had 2 large coffees. Last night Paul and I cleaned our bedroom to get ready for the new bed we are getting. I did my homework (arrrgh, back to math....!) and went to bed at midnight....

I am going for BodyTalk (http://www.bodytalksystem.com/) on Wednesday at 4:30pm...I am looking forward to that! The lady who does it is a new practitioner with the clinic I work for so she is giving us all a freebie!

That's all for now!

I have a head cold, and I just want to go to bed......but I have tommorrow off and I am doing abso-snoutly nothing!!!!

Bah Humbug! (or not)

BAH HUMBUG!!!!

Too much snow...too much to do.....too many social obligations......too much whiney bored kid.....not enough time, money, patience or holiday spirit.....:o(

BUT......

I have a healthy husband and son, I have a nice place to live with great landlords, we have food in the fridge/freezer/cupboard and enough to share with friends and family, we have people who love us and are loved by us, we have enough money to get James some things on his wish list, I am able to go to school to better our lives, we both have jobs, James is at a great school and is doing well, we live in a free country , and I am reasonably healthy......MANY THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR.......sometimes I just need to take the time to count my blessings.....

I HOPE EVERYONE WHO READS THIS HAS A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON !!!!!!!

Time to catch up!

Hey all!

Well I figured that this is the perfect time to catch up, as I am stuck at school till 2:30 and it is only 1:14pm. Lets see, where to begin.....Well, this past weekend my son and myself went to an SCA event in the USA (Milwalkee WI to be exact) We traveled with 3 other people and left Friday at 7:30am. It was a long trip (about 11 hours) but we all remained in pretty good spirits, and arrived at our destination (Laura, Paul, and Bens house) at about 8:30-9pm. We visited for a little while, then went to bed, as we had to be up very early the next morning. I went with Soly (Laura) to get 50doz carnations at the florist, and Arthurus followed with the kids. Abelard (Paul) had left even earlier than we did to start setting up the site for the event. Why 50 doz carnations you ask? Well, part of this event was a heavy fighting tourney, the list field was divided into 5 or 6 smaller areas so that 5 or 6 pairs of people could fight at any one time. I almost didn't get to fight as I had forgotten my fighter card at home....however, I ended up re-authorizing and got to fight after all. It was fun! We all lined up and whoever the first two people in line were, they went out to fight as soon as a spot was clear on the list field. The winner of the bout (and the conditions for winning changed regularly) got to tell the person they defeated who they wanted them to deliver a flower to (hence, the carnations), then the defeated party had to go to the Queen (or her representative) and beg a flower. It was a great way to meet a lot of people! I had fun fighting and even managed to win a few (I sent one of the flowers to my son, James ). I fought everyone that Soly had asked me to, learned some things about my armor (things I want to change). I also learned that I need to really improve my cardio strength, so that is something I am working on.

More later!
