Pell R.I.P.
Well, I have discovered a few things: hitting the pell is great therapy, I am stronger than I think, and maybe I should build a less destructable pell. My pell is no more, as in rest in pieces....It stands about knee height now....so now I must plan to build a new one....not out of PVC pipe...maybe a 4x4 wrapped in rope...but the base....I will have to think about that...
later,
a relaxed and stress free...

Build it like this. Start with a 4x4. Pretend it only has one side. Attach a 2x4 (12" or 18" long) to the base to make an L, in which the board is set against the side facing you (not sticking out, but flat against it). Line up the edge of the 2x4 so it's flush with the left side of the 4x4. Rotate 90 degrees and repeat, so that the new 2x4 actually rests against the previous 2x4. When you're done and have four 2x4s sticking out of the base, it should look (from the top) like a very strange pinwheel. Now, attach a cross-bar at a 45 degree angle from the end of each leg to the 4x4. Now, if you wish (and since you have it), attach the 2x4s to the plywood base. You can also ignore the base.
Now my wife can tell you why you shouldn't build it this way. :)
