Fighter School: part two

Well now....back from the chiropractor...he says the sheath covering my achilles tendon is inflamed, and when he asked me to demonstrate my fighting stance he said it was most likely the fact that my achilles tendons are very tight and when I fight I stretch them rather forcefully and being rather tight they react by becoming inflamed, so if I work on stretching those tendons daily, then when I fight, they will be used to it and not become inflamed and painful. He also recommended icing the area.

Back to fighter school....after the classes they held several large melees. They divided us by region, East , West and Central (this is where Mare Am is) Each group had a commander and each commander had 4 cards...each card had one battle manouver on it, and our job was to become familiar with these manouvers. I fought in the right flanking group in two battles, the first I died really quickly without throwing a killing shot, the second, I did get in a good face thrust before the guy in front of me was killed and I was kind of pushed/launched over him. In the process, someone gave me a killing blow to the head and I also received a stout shot to the shin. I landed on my shield and as quickly as I could, rolled over and covered myself with my shield as the battle went on for quite a bit longer after that. At that point, my ankle was throbbing pretty badly and I decided to call it a day, so I went and took my armor off, packed it up and went downstairs to the locker room and attempted to have a shower.....it was more like a cold trickle of water, but it took some of the stank off of me! I changed into my garb and went back upstairs to hang out with Deirdre, Jamie and Lady Jondalara, who fed us cheese and crackers and grapes etc....Later on we sat in court and I nearly launched out of my seat when they called Deirdre up to become a member of the Order of the Crwth:
Given for proficiency in the performing arts (dance, bardic recitation, music, theater, etc.) I was one of the many who recommended her for the Order, so I was really thrilled!
