I am sooooooooo weak..........

Did 20 Hindu squats (OMG!!! my legs are STILL shaking!!!!)
Fell flat on my face doing Hindu pushup (did 3 isometric versions instead)
Tried to bridge......well lets just say I ended up using a yoga ball (for now....)

Just because I am in dismal shape right now, does NOT mean that I am going to stop trying!!!

I did not do the Mag. 7 because it is evening and I have just eaten supper (MF recommends doing them on an empty stomach and I really, really, don't feel like throwing up!) :0P

Tried to teach these exercises to James (this will be a really good exercise in patience ) Because of course he "knows" everything, and doesn't want to be taught or told he's doing something wrong.....*****sigh*****

It is too late now to start sawing plastic, so I will do it tommorrow.

Focus, focus, focus..........

Well, yesterday was Monday, and I dropped the ball (so to speak) I didn't do my pell work, or my torso twisters....HOWEVER.....I WILL do DOUBLE today of both! I realize just how easy it is to drop out of a good habit and I will be more aware of when I am starting to waver, and take corrective measures. NO EXCUSES!!!

I also got my Matt Furey books yesterday, Combat Conditioning and Combat Abs, so James and I are going to do the Magnificent 7 from Combat Abs and the Royal Court from Combat Conditioning EVERY DAY!!!!

Tonight, I am also going to cut the plastic plates to finish my coat of plates.

I did my pre-reg at the College today! Waited in line almost 2 HOURS at the bookstore and spent about $500 there. Got my student card, and my timetable......WOW! This is really happening! :0)

I will report later on my exerciese....

Greetings and salutations!

Relaxing day today, took Paul to work for noon (he only works till 3pm today) Made a big pan of scalloped potatoes (with onions, garlic, leeks, chives , fresh thyme, parsley and oregano) as we are invited to a bbq at Trystan and Venice's house tonight and I like to bring something to contribute. I am getting ready to sew the front plates into my coat of plates (when I get off the computer) I have decided to go with the split in the front because the side splits don't give me enough freedom to move around. I am still trying to figure out a way to fasten the sides.....

I am ever SO grumpy today! :0( The dreaded PMS I think.....it sure made hitting that pell feel REAL good!
James, Ben and myself went to our nephew Kris's birthday party.....20 screaming kids jacked up on sugar with 500 water balloons.....you get the idea. Brought the kids home, hung out for a while and then went to a GNC staff dinner at Pat's house. I brought a nice Greek salad and a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine. It is so nice that I can still hang out with these people even though I don't work there anymore :0) Got home about 10:30ish, the boys had done the dishes :0) Now I am just waiting to pick up Paul at work.

Went to Canadian Tire and bought some rectangular metal plates with a hole on each end, bought nuts, bolts and washers, tipped the pell on it's side and drilled holes, inserted bolts, fastened the plates on with the nuts and.....voila! No more danger of pell flying across the room with the next shot I take at it! I also have all the lower front plates pinned into my coat of plates.

pell work

Since I have been practicing every day, I can really feel the difference between a shot thrown with only my arm (quite painful) and a shot thrown by my whole body (not painful), as well, there is no delayed onset muscle soreness, like I usually experience when I fight. My pell however is coming off the base as the screw holes in the wood are about 1/2 stripped, and it careens wildly when I hit it. I am going to Canadian Tire today to get some things to fasten it down more securely before I send it flying across the room one day! I have started the process of putting the lower plates into my coat of plates, I have made a bristol board pattern to cut out the plastic with and will work on that tonight. Got an e-mail back from Lady Tess regarding the Tor article, so I will start work on that soon as well.

the interview.....

Hey all!

Had my interview today at Bistro One...the job is for a line cook (not an entry level position, by the way) it went really, really well. Chef Glen, said he was blown away by my resume, he said my age was a positive factor , we talked food , knives (which were good, which weren't etc.) I felt like we really connected.......(wait for it) BUT he told me that the culinary program schedules special dinners at least once a month which are mandatory for students to attend and they are usually on weekends.....his busiest time and when he would need me the most.....so the long and the short of it is, that he has about 7 other people to interview, and if no one else fits the bill, I will have the job despite the scheduling issues, if not, then he will keep my resume on hand and if he has a position that I can fill, he will call me, regardless, he said he would call me in the next 2 to 3 weeks to let me know one way or the other.

On other topics, I found the elbow cop I was looking for, I started helping Arthurus pad his helm and I will post later with my pell drills and MF exercises as I haven't done them yet.
